Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement and are an electronic record published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as amended).

These Terms shall be read together with the Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy, and other applicable policies of the Platform.

The domain name joylane.in (“Website”) and any related mobile or software applications (“Application”) (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Platform”) are owned and operated by JOYLANE INNOVATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (“Company”), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 with its registered office at Flat No. 16, Vyankatesh Park, Sawarkar Nagar, Gangapur Road, Nashik - 422013 (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

1. Definitions

  • “Buyer” / “User” means any individual who accesses or uses the Platform to browse, interact with content, or purchase products.
  • “Seller” means third-party merchants who list and sell products on the Platform.
  • “Content” includes videos, images, text, graphics, reviews, likes, and other user-generated or platformgenerated material.
  • “Order” means a request placed by a Buyer to purchase a product listed on the Platform.

2. Eligibility

  • The Platform may be used only by individuals 18 years of age or older.
  • By registering or using the Platform, you represent that you are legally competent to contract under Indian law.
  • While access is restricted to users aged 18 and above, the Platform maintains a strict family-friendly content environment.

3. Nature of the Platform

  • Joylane is a marketplace and intermediary platform.
  • Joylane does not manufacture, own, or directly sell products listed on the Platform.
  • Sellers are solely responsible for product quality, descriptions and pricing.
  • Joylane facilitates discovery, ordering, payments (as applicable), and communication

4. User Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • Any activity carried out through your account shall be deemed to be undertaken by you

5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

Users may:

  • Browse products and videos
  • Like content and interact with platform features
  • Place orders and request returns
  • Use social and discovery features similar to e-commerce and social media platforms

Users shall not:

  • Post or engage in unlawful, abusive, misleading, or harmful activities
  • Attempt to manipulate engagement metrics
  • Upload or promote prohibited content or products
  • Misuse the Platform or interfere with its operations

Joylane reserves the right to remove content or restrict access for violations.

6. Orders, Payments & COD

  • Currently, Cash on Delivery (COD) is the only supported payment method.
  • Online payments may be introduced in the future.
  • Joylane collects payments on behalf of Sellers and facilitates settlement.
  • Orders are subject to acceptance by the Seller.
  • Joylane reserves the right to cancel orders in cases of fraud, misuse, or operational issues.

7. Returns & Refunds

  • Returns are allowed for all products within 5 days of delivery, subject to applicable policies.
  • Upon a return request:
    • Joylane's team may contact the Buyer to understand and attempt resolution.
    • Genuine issues may result in product return and refund/replacement as applicable.
  • Detailed terms are governed by the Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All Platform content, branding, logos, and software are owned by or licensed to Joylane.
  • Users may not copy, reproduce, or exploit any Platform content without prior written consent.
  • User interactions such as likes or engagement do not grant ownership rights over content.

9. Account Suspension & Termination

Joylane reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts for:
    • Fraudulent activity
    • Policy violations
    • Repeated misuse
    • Illegal conduct
  • Disable access without prior notice where required by law or for platform safety.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Joylane shall not be liable for:
    • Seller actions or omissions
    • Product quality, defects, or warranties
    • Delays caused by logistics partners
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joylane's liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the Buyer for the specific order in dispute.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joylane from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Misuse of the Platform
  • Infringement of third-party rights

12. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account at any time.
Procedure:

  • Send an email from your registered email address to: connect@joylane.in
  • Subject: Account Deletion Request
  • Add your registered mobile number and username on Joylane in the email.

Timeline:

  • Requests are processed within 7 - 14 business days.
  • Upon deletion:
    • Your account access will be permanently disabled
    • Personal data will be removed or anonymized, except data required to be retained by law

13. Changes to Terms

Joylane reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

  • Updated Terms will be published on the Platform
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms

15. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Nashik, Maharashtra, India.
